The Yomeimon (Sunlight Gate, it's called because it faces to the southern direction) and is named one of the twelve gates of the imperial court. Built-in 1636 and meticulously maintained throughout the years today it stands in a condition equal to that of the time of it'rs original contraction. On the stunning and beautiful gate, there are over 500 masterly wood carvings, of these 194 are carvings of 30 different kinds of mystical, mythological entities that live in a different dimension, these mystic creatures are known as 'Reiju Holly Spiritual Animal entities". The gate is massively HUGE standing at over thirty feet high, twenty feet wide, and fourteen feet thick. The gate is not only known as the sunlight gate but also as the (Twilight Gate), due to people standing mesmerized for hours well into the blue hour after the golden hour transfixed on the gate, and the gate and many other places in Nikko and around Japan are power vortex points or portals of awakening - Chakras.
