Imagine photographing the perfect Japanese cherry blossoms with Japan's legendary landscapes, and Shinto-Buddhist shrines and temples, it's genuinely dramatically beautiful. This year while I lead my annual cherry blossom Japan photo tour, we will journey 12 days on a round trip starting at the Pacific Ocean in Tokyo through the interior to the sea of Japan and back to the Pacific Ocean. Tour highlights include Mt. Fuji and its five surrounding lakes. The Sea of Trees, Ice Caves, Shirato Waterfalls and the perfect cherry blossoms at Chureito Pagoda with the iconic Fujisan in the backdrop a scene right out of a storybook or a Japanese Sumi-e painting. Then we explore the world of the samurai at Matsumoto Castle National Treasure of Japan built in 1504, used officially by the Samurai until 1868. Locally the castle is known as Karasu-jo or crow castle, due to its grandeur's black exterior. During the evening the castle is beautifully lit up, and the reflection of the castle in it's most is stunningly beautiful and dramatic to photograph. WoW snow monkies without the snow at Jigokudani Yaen-Koen. We will photograph newborn baby snow monkies just days old, as proud mothers show them off by the hot springs bath. By the Sea of Japan, we will experience the most incredible cherry blossoms seen in Japan, captured by only a few world travelers. While by the sea of Japan, we will stop by my time-honored traditional Japanese home for tea, and take a moment to reflect on our adventure together. I always enjoy leaving the best for last, Oiran Geisha Parade Procession, with around a hundred lovely ladies in kimonos and dozens of Maikos and Geisha in the procession.
