I just bid farewell to winter in Hokkaido, and the Steller’s Sea Eagle; annually I guide photographers on a Japan photography tour, during the winter months to photograph the Steller’s Sea Eagle, Red-Crowned Cranes and other northern hemisphere wildlife, including the Snow Monkeys in Nagano.

As March rolls around, I promptly return to the Tokyo area where the temperatures are spring-like in comparison to the minus winter temperature of Hokkaido, Japanese most norther Island. In the Tokyo area, with spring temptress the early blooming Kawazu Cherry blossoms are in bloom. I quickly shift my focus with my Nikon 800mm f5.6 and Nikon D850 on viewing filming and photographing The Japanese white-eye also known as the Mejiro.
The Japanese white-eye is a small passerine bird in the white-eye family, Tokyo, Japan
The Mejiro I nickname 'little ninja' because of their lighting fast speed and acrobatic abilities, they move quickly up and down cherry blossom tree branches gulping down the nourishing sweet nectar of the cherry blossom flower just as they freshly bloom, they are as lighting fast as a kingfisher on the move. Timing and patience is everything to view and photographed the Japanese white eye and cherry blossoms together; the white eye is a shy bird, so I guide 2-3 birders photographers on my annual Private Mejiro Japanese White Eye Birding Photography Tour. During Cherry Blossom season, I am able to lead around a dozen private birding tours to photographed the Japanese White Eye Mejiro Bird and other birds as they savor the sweet nectar of the Cherry Blossoms.
