In my over 30 plus year career as a professional photographer, I have shot hundreds of cityscapes WorldWide, and my favorite City in the world to shoot cityscapes should come as no surprise Tokyo, Japan.

Tokyo, Japan is not only dazzlingly photogenic especially at night to photograph, but it also leads the list as the safest City in the world according to the Time Magazine  and every other source out there including me. In all my year's shooting and leading photo tours in Tokyo, Japan I have never encountered a problem with any gear gone missing, well except for a lens cap or two which have a tendency to be mysteriously misplaced by themselves. During our skyline photography tour Tokyo, we have been known to photograph from dusk until after dawn; then catch a few hours sleep during the am rush hour then back to photography.

During our Tokyo photo tours, we like to use suvs for our mode of transportation instead of public transit. Public train transit does come in handy from time to time, but It can be a hassle and overcrowded. Also, participants are is limited to the amount of camera gear carried or rolled comfortably. The 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics are just around the corner, and we are already half booked for the games.
